Some commissions begin with a brief. This one begins with a dream — a home office of extraordinary ambition and complete visual coherence. Dark fumed oak contrasted against pale light oak, separated at every junction by a thread of warm brass. Recessed lighting that illuminates without intruding. Marbled panelling that transforms a working wall into a feature of genuine drama. This is what Hafferty Interiors can build for you.
The executive desk is the centrepiece — a full-width run in dark fumed oak below and pale light oak above, the two materials separated by a precise brass inlay strip that catches the light at every angle. The pale worktop provides a calm, uncluttered working surface; the dark carcass below gives the commission its weight and authority.
Integrated cable management keeps every surface clean and uninterrupted. The drawer configuration beneath is resolved to the exact requirements of the working day — no standard sizes, no catalogue compromises. Built to the vision, not to a price point.
The lighting is built entirely into the joinery — recessed fittings beneath every overhead unit, within the shelving profiles and along the desk run, providing warm functional light with no visible fittings. The result is an office that glows from within, every surface illuminated without a single pendant or track in sight.
The rubbed walnut and fumed oak palette, separated by brass inlay at every junction, rewards close inspection. Three tones of wood, one metal — warm, dark, refined and unmistakably considered. The marbled panelling behind the desk completes the story, its veined surface giving the working wall the quality of a serious interior.
