Monitor Audio bookshelf speakers integrated either side of the panel. To the right: a dedicated vinyl tower with open display shelving sized precisely for 12-inch records, and a turntable shelf at the perfect height. The Andy Warhol banana displayed in gold below the screen says everything about who this room was made for.
The macassar ebony veneer — its distinctive vertical striping drawing the eye the full height of the unit — is the material that defines the piece. Against dark charcoal walls, the contrast is quiet and deliberate. The warm walnut of the TV recess pushes forward from this dark backdrop, the LED back-lighting turning it into something approaching an ambient light source in the evening.
Monitor Audio bookshelf speakers sit within bespoke recesses in the unit face, perfectly flush to the ebony panels. The vinyl tower to the right has open shelving designed to display 12-inch records upright — the collection on show as much as the screen. A dedicated shelf at the base houses the turntable at exactly the right ergonomic height for playing and cueing records.
